Learn What it Takes to be a Dungeon Master!
Have you ever wanted to take your friends through an immersive and collaborative game world that you helped build for a truly memorable adventure? But have you also been overwhelmed by the number of rules, work, prep, and planning that goes into being a Dungeon Master and not just a player? Have you watched intimidating live-plays of professional voice actors and thought you couldn’t possibly create such an immersive experience? Maybe you’ve never even played the game at all before and don’t even know where to start?
Well, that’s where my Learn to be a DM for D&D 5e comes in to help you learn that anyone can be a Dungeon Master with no prerequisites required! You don’t have to know all the rules, memorize an entire world’s lore, perform theatre quality acting, or even already have a group of friends to start with. All you need to do is be willing to try!
Led by an experienced Dungeon Master, you’ll learn about worldbuilding, essential tools for running the game, how to respond to unexpected player choices and how to ensure that your game is always engaging, safe, and exciting for each player at your table. You don’t have to know all the rules or have read all the books to be a DM, you only need to understand a few basic mechanics and understand a few simple concepts, all of which you’ll learn in this seminar. The most important part to being a successful DM is just being willing to try! So, whether you’re a seasoned player looking to take on the role of Dungeon Master or a beginner interested in creating your own adventures, my seminar has something for everyone!
Normally these seminars are 4-hour long paid sessions hosted on StartPlaying but for one day only, on August 3rd, I’m hosting 1-hour sessions for free at GenCon Online!
